The bigger picture in Gloucester City is to make Gloucester a fair, just and thriving community where no one is disadvantaged. This vision is delivered in part by the Sustainable Community Strategy.
The Gloucester Partnership feeds into the Gloucestershire Conference which has a County wide strategic view. The County looks not only at Gloucester but also at the other districts including Stroud and Cheltenham. The Conference's main aim is to make a positive difference for the people who work, live and visit Gloucestershire. The Gloucestershire Conference has to deliver against the County Sustainable Community Strategy and certain outcomes in the Local Area Agreement (LAA). The Gloucester Partnership, Sustainable Community Strategy directly links to the Conference's strategy and the thematic sub groups are aligned.
The Conference reports to Central Government about the Counties performance and the Audit Commission rate each area based on a combination of information including the new Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA).
