Business Oppertunities

Gloucester based companies are being urged not to miss out on potential opportunities to supply goods and services for the 2012 Olympic Games.

In the latest round of contract opportunities the London Organising Committee is looking for businesses to supply the Olympic sports venues and village accommodation with hundreds of different goods ranging from uniforms, beds, scanners and flowers as well as services such as IT, logistics, consultation and performing Arts.

Now is the time for many different business sectors to get involved and the Economic Development and Community Regeneration Department of Gloucester City Council is keen to make sure that Gloucester based businesses are able to take full advantage of the up-coming opportunities. They advise that companies interested in finding out more should register their details on www.competefor.com in order to gain access to the details of the contracts on offer.

A link to the "competefor" site is also available at www.gloucester.gov.uk/business which lists other support currently available to Gloucester based businesses.
