A word from the Chair:
Since the launch of the Sustainable Community Strategy in 2008 a lot of exciting work has been done in our city to improve the quality of life for all residents.
Now, two years on and it seems like a good point to pause and reflect on our achievements and to look forward to what the Partnership will focus on for the next two or three years.
Gloucestershire has been through some large changes in the last two years and, with the country slowly coming out of a recession and public spending set to tighten, the Executive needs to ensure that we are delivering the priorities of the people of Gloucester with the limited resources we have at our disposal. This will mean that we have some major challenges ahead of us…
This bi-annual report will highlight what we have done well, and the lessons that can be learnt as we move forward.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Executive Board, Support Staff and all of the individuals and organisations involved in delivering the strategy for their efforts in the last few years. Without the passion and drive within this Partnership we wouldn't have achieved half as much.
